Ted Talk and Mark Manson Reflection
What advice did you hear/read today that you actually think is helpful to YOU as you think about your future? If you think none of it was helpful write that (but explain why you feel this way)
I enjoyed reading this article, as a teen I really related to this article and I would recommend it to others. It was really helpful to me because it showed me that it is okay to not know what you want to do in the future. Another part that will help me was the question at the end of the first page "what can I do with my time that is important?" This question really makes you think what in your life is important enough to give your time to. I think Number 3 will really help me in the future. His experience proved once you get rid of something you are wasting your time in and actually look for something that is important to you then you find your true passion.
According to Wapnick, you are either a "specialist" or a "multipotentialite." Which are you? Why do you think that?
Throughout my life I haven't been a specialist in anything and I always liked doing many things that interested me. I think I am a multipotentialite because I am well rounded, I have many interests and I love picking up new things. I really respect specialists for their determination to drive them self for that single goal or dream. However I don't think I am in that group.
Mark Manson poses various questions various questions intended to get you thinking about your life's purpose. I want you to seriously think about these questions, even if you find them utterly ridiculous, and write an actual answer to at least one (you're welcome to answer more!) of them.
How are you going to save the world?
All the problems on the planet are caused by some sort of conflict. The conflict can be human vs human or human vs environment. I think it is impossible for one person to save the world. However if everyone does their part it can be done. Before anyone ends conflict around the world they must remove conflict within them self and replace it with peace and unconditional love. Inner peace is a point of calm awareness. Once you heal yourself and reach a point of inner peace you wont react to a negative situation. To do my part in saving the world I would like to try this throughout my life.
